I am currently in the process of updating it with my newest work and information relating to my career in art education. Please keep checking back - as things are changing daily!

For a little bit of background:

I am originally a freelance illustrator from La Cygne, Kansas. My paintings have been inspired by the many different places I've called home and the people and creatures in my life.

I primarily illustrate stories (mine or others') or create zoological/botanical art. I try to inspire a sense of whimsy and intrigue, inviting the viewer to come sit with a character or to follow along as they explore the world around them. 

Stories are what inspire me, so it will be stories that you will find here! 

I've recently received my Masters of Art in Secondary Education from Pittsburg State University in 2018. So, I am in the process of pursuing a career in art education. In 2013, I received my  Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting. During that time, I also dabbled in several different media such as Photography, Jewelry Creation, and Commercial Design. I am currently attending Pittsburg State to achieve my Master's in Teaching. 

When I’m not working or holed-up with a new novel to read; you can find me hiking in the nearby wilderness areas. Discovering new places and photographing wildlife to use as references for my paintings.
